Thanks for your interest in taking chess lessons with us. William Stewart will be happy to give you a $5 evaluation class to try us out. We’ll spend about 5 minutes getting set up, followed by 60 minutes of actual class time. In order to proceed with your online chess class, you need to do the following steps. Please follow these instructions carefully to make sure your reservation is confirmed.
Making Your Reservation
Please go to William Stewart’s calendar and make an account. You can do so by clicking “Sign-in” at the top right of the screen or by clicking anywhere on the calendar. After you click “Sign-In,” Click “Create a new user account.” From there enter your name, e-mail, your correct time-zone (especially important if you are not on Eastern Time). Also, if you have it enter your FICS and Skype username (don’t worry if you don’t, that part is covered in the “Getting Setup section”).
After making your account it will take you back to the login screen. Click on any available time and fill in the information, make sure to select “FIRST TIME STUDENT” for class type. When finished click “Create Class.” You will then be taken to a confirmation screen. Once confirming the information you entered was correct, click on “Pay Now” which will take you to the PayPal payment page. You can pay with your PayPal account or by Creditcard if you do not have an account (see pictures). Classes must be paid for to confirm the reservation or the class will not be booked.
Click on the thumbnails below for a step-by-step picture walkthrough if you need assistance.
Upon completing these steps you will be registered for a class. Make sure to follow the steps in the getting setup page before coming to your first class!
