Goddesschess.com: Pushing Female Chess to New Heights!
Goddesschess.com started nearly 13 years ago due to a shared common interest in chess through a very large group. The primary contributors are Georgia Albert, Jan Newton, Carmen Romeo, and Don McLean, with (IM) Dr. Ricardo Calvo also contributing very early in the 21st century. The Goddesschess.com mission is to promote women in chess, a goal that they accomplish through extensive educational event coordination and tournament organization. Goddesschess.com is currently organizing the GoddessChess Women’s Closed Chess Championship, to be held in Montreal, Quebec in August 2012. In 2011 Goddesschess also played a pivotal role as a sponsor in the following major events: 5th Annual Grand Pacific Open, 2011 US Women’s Chess Championship, 91st Montreal Open Chess Championship, and the 14th Hales Corner Challenge. Aside from their extensive history in the sponsorship and promotion of women’s chess, Goddesschess publishes essays and articles on varying topics in the chess world.

Clinton vs Obama
Why can’t we seem to overcome this never-ending battle between the sexes?
This line seems to really sum up the mission statement of Goddesschess.com. Women’s chess is becoming more popular than ever in the 21st century thanks to the efforts of Susan Polgar, Alexandra Kosteniuk, Natalia Pogonina, and other stars – however it is still relegated to a completely separate playing field. Goddesschess.com does a great site of asking questions like
Why are men such poor losers when they lose a game to a woman?”
National Master Will Stewart specializes in Online Chess Coaching and maintains a daily updated Chess Blog with Free Chess Videos.
